LIFE AFTER STROKE "WINDOW" VIEWS !
OPEN THOSE WINDOWS AFTER A STROKE !
AFTER STROKE WINDOWS ARE THERE . . .
STROKE AFTER . . . STROKE WINDOWS !
Becoming housebound is a normal thing after a stroke. Open your windows
after stroke and smell the fresh air! Stroke after . . . stroke windows to stroke
forward. Watch the cars pass by, the school kids on their way home & the
dogs playing across the way. Whatever it is, keep in touch with the outside
world. Look at those stroke window views. Don't let life after stroke pass
you by. You'll forget what it is to smell the roses . . . watch a plane leave their
white tail behind . . . watch an old house transform as new siding is attached.
After stroke windows will show you the outside world. We don't want to forget!
We want to move forward and know what is going on out there. You know
what another great stroke window view is? It's your computer . . .
Yes, your computer is another stroke window to the outside world, from the
inside world. At first, Shane couldn't remember how to use the computer. He
couldn't remember his passwords. Was he embarrassed? Probably! Was he
angry? Yes! Did he try! Absolutely!
However, it is not an easy thing to overcome . . . the fact that you cannot read.
He didn't give up and I'm telling you all out there. Those of you that have had a
stroke and lost your memory . . . your reading skills . . . they'll come back! You
have to think positive . . . you can't give up. Is it a hard road to travel? Well,
of course it is. But you can do it . . . if you are stubborn, use that stubbornness
in a positive way. Look in that window, to your outside world. Do you have
pigheadedness within you. Use it to persevere the storm!
Keep at it . . . stick it out . . . be persistent, tireless, and determined. Open that
stroke window view . . . show the world you are going to see it. The computer
is a great tool . . . terrific therapy. Shane, my son is moving up the road to
recovery. He is mending and healing . . . using this window to see all. One thing
at a time . . . and forward he goes.
Do you want a different window view? Go anywhere that has windows to look
out or look in! A bookstore . . . a library . . . a restaurant . . . a sportsbar. Watch what's
going on inside or out. You will see different people . . . all doing different things.
Maybe you will see something that'll inspire you. Crawl through that window . . .
then jump into it!
. . . TELL ME WHAT I DO NOT KNOW . . .
