WILL THERE BE FALLS AFTER STROKE?
It really depends on the severity of the stroke. There
are so many factors and everybody is different. Will
there be those that don't experience...after stroke falls?
Of course, there will be. If you have a major stroke, with
paralysis and you are trying to walk...it'll be a matter of
time...you will probably fall at some point.
You can hurt yourself when you fall. If you are on blood
thinners, it is important to get yourself checked out. You
need to know there is no internal bleeding or clotting. This
is very important for your well-being. It can be dangerous..
so, don't say you are ok...and you hopefully are...BUT, GO
GET CHECKED OUT ANYWAYS!
Falls after a stroke can be discouraging to stroking forward.
You don't want to fall and get hurt...so you back-off on stroking
forward. After all...it's human nature, not to want to hurt
yourself. You'll have up and down periods. You want to
move forward...you don't want to get hurt. After you have a
number of falls...hit your head...bruises all over...maybe broken
bones...you may want to give up.
DON'T DO IT....DON'T EVER GIVE UP!
JUST BE MORE CAREFUL! If it takes you five minutes to move
from one room to another...then take the five minutes...BUT DO IT!
It's the only way you will stroke forward to new beginnings.
When you fall off the horse, you get back on it! Life consists of
falling down and getting back up. It makes you stronger every
time you get up. It doesn't matter what you are falling from, as
long as you keep going! So stay positive and keep movin forward.
