Diet is maintainance of the body! Just as you maintain
your car, you must maintain your body. The body needs
certain nutrients, vitamins, and minerals to function
properly. There are also things it doesn't need!
Low cholesterol diets will help prevent a stroke, along
with omega-3 fatty acids.
It is said that red meat is linked to stroke. Here is an
article on a study done of women eating red meat.
Eating three bananas a day will cut your risk of stroke. as
stated by British and Italian researchers. It's the potassium
that reduces the chances of a blood clot in the brain by 21%.
Other foods with potassium are spinach, nuts, fish, and
Feed your body well! Lots of fruits and vegetables are
a good thing . . . and don't forget grains. Stay away from
fats! You don't want to clog your arteries. If you just eat
sensible . . . stay away from junk food . . . a low salt diet and don't
overeat! Drink plenty of fluids . . . water is the best! Ask your
doctor about any special items he doesn't want you to have . . .
or maybe wants you to have!
Eat well, stay trim and don't forget to exercise! This is not to
say you will not have a stroke, but let's do whatever we can
to possibly prevent one.
