Velcro & Laces

After stroke, velcro and shoe laces become daily aids.   You want
to make sure you have them on hand.

Velcro helps with shirts,   pants,   shoes and other clothing.   Velcro
can replace shoelaces,   when there is a problem tying shoes.   On
the other hand,   shoelaces come as stretch laces.   This helps when
a foot is swollen or you have a problem getting your foot into a
sneaker.   You can pre-tie it loosely and slip your foot in and out
of it.
