STROKE AFTER STROKE'S MISSION IS TO HELP . . .
TO GIVE SUPPORT AFTER STROKE TO STROKE SURVIVORS,
FAMILY, & CAREGIVERS ALONG "THEIR" MISSION
IN REBUILDING THEIR NEW LIFE AFTER STROKE!
Stroke After Stroke's mission will be on-going, with the compassion
to help and support stroke survivors and/or support caregivers for
as long as needed . . . as they move along their mission!
At the point of the commitment after stroke, is where the mission
begins. This mission will be the end-goal set by the stroke survivor,
helping them to stroke forward in their new life after stroke. There'll
also be goals set by the family caregiver, in order to help support the
stroke survivor while on their mission. Whether the goals are set
separately or together, the main thing is that they are being set. The
stroke survivor needs to move at their own pace. You, as a caregiver
can help them when they ask for it . . . encourage them and be there
routing for them along the way.
This mission may take a long time and then again, it may not. It
all depends on what the goal is and the timeframe you have given
yourself for the mission to be completed. Of course, the shorter the
timeframe, the harder you'll have to work at it. And, if you don't
complete the mission in the timeframe, just re-set it until it's reached.
If you reach it a lot quicker then you thought, then that's terrific.
Remember that it's your mission . . . nobody else's. You can change it
anyway or anytime you want. You'll be learning as you go. Play
with it along the way.
You want to enjoy the mission as you progress. Show your compassion
for it. Have fun with it! Continue to stroke forward to new beginnings.
. . . TELL ME WHAT I DO NOT KNOW . . .
