STROKE AFTER A VISION
Stroke After Stroke has a vision for the future. It sees the
stroke survivor that lost the ability to talk . . . speak in front of
a stroke support group, encouraging them to stroke forward
and never give up.
Stroke After Stroke has a vision in which it sees the stroke
survivor that has become paralyzed on one or both sides of
his body . . . walking . . . eating on his own . . . moving about so
he has some or all of his independence back.
Stroke After Stroke has a vision where the stroke survivor
regains his vision. He is able to see again and hopefully
read, write and enjoy it's surroundings.
Stroke After Stroke's vision is all positive for the stroke
survivor. We see the abilities, arise from disabilities.
The stroke survivor must not give up. They must always
stroke forward everyday. It's ok to put things on hold, as
long as you go back to it at some point. Put one thing on
hold and work with another. Always work on something
in your new life after stroke.
Vision yourself in the future, when you have accomplished
whatever the challenge may be. Keep visuallizing it and
keep stroking forward for that day of accomplishment. It
doesn't matter how long it takes, just don't give up . . . keep
going. Keep moving forward and take little steps. Soon,
those little steps will add up to the big one.
Speak with other stroke survivors. Find out what has worked
for them. What goals they have met . . . what challenges
they have had . . . what visions they had and what visions
have come to pass. Visions are important! They are like
dreams and in order to make a dream come true, you have
to work at it. Don't give up or the dream goes away. So
will the vision. We don't want that to happen. We want
that vision in front of us, each and everyday.
Vision yourself and where you want to be tomorrow, then
next week, next month and then next year. Short visions will
become long visions. Don't give up. It'll be a long hard road,
but you can do it and Stroke After Stroke is here to help you.
